Is it still summer ?!? The last week of July was absolutely beautiful. Cooler nights and fresh breeze filled the air.
We know the summer will heat up again, but the break was lovely. Let’s take a look back to July events and what to look forward to in the coming months.
July started with a bang. 4th of July BANG! Bright fireworks illuminated the night skies. Family and friends gathered for cookouts and fellowship. As people celebrated the red, white and blue, Miss Olivia celebrated the Red, White and TWO! Happy Birthday Miss Olivia.
Finalizations and Placements
We continue to be blessed to play a small part in making families dreams of adoption come true. There were 3 adoptive placements this month and two families finalized their adoptions. CONGRATULATIONS to all!

Family Fun Month
Looking ahead to August; that month is designated as Family Fun Month. Fun Month is the time to unplug, and enjoy family. Schedule fun events so you are with family and stepping away from the busyness of life. Some ideas for Family Fun Month: hiking, biking, camping, splash pad, day at the lake, visit a museum or an amusement park, go to a festival, zoo, aquarium, family games, picnic, or just relaxing with a family movie marathon.
It doesn’t matter what you choose to do during Family Fun Month as long as you prioritize family. We’d love to see photos of your Family Fun Month activities. Remember to tag Adoption Circle on your social media posts.
And speaking of family fun. Please remember to mark your calendars for 10/4/2025 for the Annual Adoption Circle Picnic. Please look for email updates.
A Note from the Director of Birthparent Services: As we look back to July events, August is now here. The month of August is “Back to School” for many families. It’s inevitable that the topic of adoption will come up at some point during your child’s school years. Whether it be over a homework assignment regarding family trees, or because of childhood trauma that influences the mental health or behaviors of your child, you may need to discuss their adoption. It would be traumatic for a child to learn of their adoption at school from a teacher or from kids who overheard a conversation about personal things. It is best for a child to hear these things from their parents and to not have to process it as a secret kept from them. Please go to the following link Adoption.com to read the full article about how to discuss adoption with your child’s teacher.
We are looking forward to August events. Please remember to share your Family Fun Month photos with us, or tag us. If you don’t already feel free to follow us on social media. FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter
